I recently changed my bank account to get £5 reward every month and was told that the new bank would transfer my direct debits and credits.
They transferred all my direct debits and most of my credits then sent me a letter saying I could now close my old bank account.
Good job I didn't as although they persuaded the DWP to pay my pension into the new bank account they never sent details to my private pension provider who continued to pay it into my old bank account.
And they have taken away my free £1000 overdraft.:eek:
