Hi all, quick Question, is it possible to keep your line rental with BT and sign up for a IDNET phone only package?
My guess is no but does anyone know for sure?
Thanks in advance.

No because they dont offer (carrier pre select ) calls only bundles. Hardly any supplier does these days.0

I think you're getting confused IDNET don't do a calls only package it's phone only,ie phone rental with/without a call package and not taking their Broadband.
I'm using Sky for BB and IDNet for rental and calls(Anytime lite 5hrs calls+rental £14.29)
The line still remains a BT line just you pay rental to IDnet and have nothing to do with BT retail0 -

So if i took a calls package with line rental would i be able to still use 1899? for instance which i would like to do. I have a feeling Primus/newcall are going to increase charges soon so i want to be ready to jump ship.A fool and their money are easily parted.0 -
Unlikely.
Only BT has to allow such access; other firms know doing so would mean they'd lose calls revenue.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
