the cheapest bread is homemade. mine works out about 30p a loaflife is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.0

Aldi white sliced has consistently been around 47p for at least the last couple of years. Not the greatest bread in the world, but then again Hovis and Kingsmill are also pretty grim.
Bargain!
Aldi is miles away / no car at the moment unfortunately
I quite agree with you regarding Hovis / Kingsmill! They certainly don't warrant the mark up.0 -

I find my local Spar (now called Nishta?) is pretty much the same price as Tesco Express, but the difference is, that Spar has some really good deals on some things.
There is no parking outside our Spar ( or whatever it's called now), so I don't use them often enough, which is a shame.0 -

Ours prints it regardless, most people don't want them though.
Technically Spar is part of the convienience store sectorIt’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

They are expensive (though I got a big box of persil in there a few months back for £1.99 so that was a bargain!!). If I need anything I tend to go late at night to pick up reduced things. The bread is usually about 60p by this time so I don't mind buying itWife and mother :jGrocery budget
