PPI Cancelation

First off thank you to Martin and his team. Thanks to the templates and a first class stamp i received £170 MEAF refund from Abbey/Santander.

My main question is:
I started a claim for PPI repayment through Gladstone Brookes (before i knew of this site) after 9 months of nothing they have just sent me a form of authority from Ocean Finance?
Do i have the right to pursue the claim myself as i am not happy with the service offered and i believe i can do better myself?

I have read the other posts regarding cancelling however most were further down the line than me?

Any help gratefully received

Shaun

read your contract with Gladstone Brookes and see what the cancellation terms are.

What would be the circumstances if there appears to be very little reference at all to the terms relating to cancelling the contract?

It also appears that my wifes claim which has been successful was claimed using a what seems in my opinion to be a "Standard across the board" Statement of Allegations! Could this, now coming to our attention after reading other threads, be classed as mis-representation, if not fraudulent?

    Terms and Conditions

You are entitled to cancel this agreement at any point within 14 days of signing it. If you cancel after that time we are entitled to charge you a reasonable figure for the work that we have done.

What would be deemed as reasonable? And could this not be more precise?
