I got this hamster a very days ago, it seemed very settled straight away and is generally very chilled out. It's apparently about 8 weeks old.

Was the bedding in one of those little hut things to begin with or just in the corner of the cage?Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

In the corner. It's slept there for 2 sleeps. It does have a "hut" filled with cotton wool but it's ignored it so far.
Hm.. it is now trying to sleep sticking out the end of the tube, on a little blob of cotton wool. Stupid thing..

Bless, my rats do this. It's one of the cutest things to watch, when Crumble decides she wants to move their nest- takes her a whole day sometimes but she gets there in the end

My hamsters used to do that too. One of mine used to build his nest in his wheel, then would push all the bedding out so he could run around in it for a while, then spend the rest of the night rebuilding his nest. He had a couple of houses and tubes but the wheel was his favourite place to sleep.0
