Trust the dealer's HPI check?

I’ve put a deposit on a car. The dealer showed me a printout of the HPI check. Do you think I should do my own HPI check? If so, is there a cheaper one than the RAC’s £15.51? Thanks!

Hi if its a genuine dealer then I would trust this, otherwise you could return the car! Dealerships build the cost of an HPI into the purchase price (I know this because my husbands a car sales guy!)

Any doubts then get your own, Unless the car is not worth risking £15 for?

Cheaper options are a waste of money. Send me £1 by text and i will use my crystal ball to see if the
car is dodgy. Conditions apply... Crystal ball is not accurate on any day with the word day in it.

I presume the cheapo checks got their crystal ball from the same reject shop in china.

if you havent got faith in the dealer not blunt instrumenting the hpi with his john bull outfit and cutnpaste skills why are you buying a charabanc off him?
:)
• In Scotland, if its not a private sale the car is yours! It's the dealers responsibility to settle outstanding finance.

Private sale, thats another matter...
