Advantages of a business account ?

What are the advantages of a business account over a personal account, if any. I know I lose the free listing days and the free 99p listings but are there any advantages I might gain with having a business account. Hope that makes sense

Are you a business, buying items to sell on? If so then you need to have a business account if you're only selling your own unwanted stuff then you should have a personal account.

I'm a private seller at the moment but will be changing over to a business account shortly. My personal account has good feedback so thought I upgrade that rather than starting from scratch with a new account. It was just idle curiosity really as the advantages of a business account

Its would be better to switch your current personal account to the business account as you already have feedback - much better than trying to start a business account from scratch.

When you've switched it over, open a new personal account. Use the new personal account to buy all your packaging, etc

Things ike Top Rated Seller is only given to business accounts (I think?)
People may be more likely to buy from you, as you're a business, they are covered by distance selling regulations better.
The fees are cheaper for business sellers too, once your star ratings are high enough you'll also get a monthly discount on the invoice if you're bronze rated or above.

Yes you can only get TRS if you are a business seller. There are no longer any discounts for Powersellers who are not TRS - so if you just get bronze Powerseller you won't get any FVF discounts until you also get TRS status.

Ah! I hadn't realised that. Luckily I've managed to hang onto power seller (albeit only bronze)and TRS, so I thought either/or was enough to get reduced fees. Didn't know I had to have both - argh! Time to continue sucking up to the buyers eh! Hahaha.

They only withdrew the Powerseller only discounts last month, but yes, all the more reason to hang on to that TRS!!

That's what's daft though, we really are just 'hanging on' to it as sellers aren't we. More than one stroppalot buyer in a given period, and you're off!

I am finding it hard to hold on to - 2 delays with RM have given me 2 low stars on dispatch time in the last 6 months - one more and bye bye TRS!

Its a numbers/percentage game - the more quantity you sell, the more 'bad eggs' you can absorb. I think I can take up to about 6 low DSRs per category before risking loss of my TRS.

Of course selling more is easier said than done!
