I rarely use Uswitch, why would you need to send them your bill?
All you need is your annual Kwh usage and you can do the comparison yourself in seconds, your kwh usage is the most accurate way of doing a comparison but most bills dont show that so I dont understand the need for sending them a bill?Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!

Same with those door knockers, if they carn,t look at your bill and tell you what it would cost under them, then what bile are they actually spouting at your door ?
The quickest way to get rid of them is to get your Gas and electric bills and say right how much is that loot under your lot... Err, Ummm ah well but it would be >>>>TUT TUT TUT Give me your prices..
Err we carnt work like that... So what are you selling me then, bull ? how can you knock on my door and offer cheaper gas and electric if you can not work out an exact figure ill save....Er ill have to call a supervisor to visit... That the last time they knocked on this door.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Not a good idea as your bill contains your meter point reference numbers and if the sales chap gets those numbers its easy for them to switch you without consent0 -
i just thought it would be simple to send them and they tell me who to go to!Plushchris wrote: »I rarely use Uswitch, why would you need to send them your bill?

Thats ok if you trust them to put you on the best deal (I wouldnt)
You can probably do your own comparison with your Kwh in less time than it takes to put your bills in an envelope, buy a stamp and put it in a postbox.
By doing it yourself you can look to see what the best deal for you would be, EG. you may not want to go to the cheapest but the one that fixes for longest...Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!

Hello i-luv-free-stuff,
Glad to see you got some responses! Just a little post from us to clear up any confusion around things uSwitch definitely do not do, such as unconsented switches, and to provide a bit of background around why ‘Send us your bill’ was initiated in the first place...
The idea behind ‘Send us your bill’ was to make shopping around for the cheapest energy provider as easy as possible for all consumers. We want to ensure that everyone, online and offline, is being given the opportunity to see if they could save on their gas and electricity bills. This might be someone who can’t access the internet or someone who is simply uncomfortable transacting online.
And just to debunk a few myths! (and hopefully clear up any potential concerns...)
We do not switch without consent. Upon receipt of a copy of your bill an advisor from our contact centre will call to discuss your options.
At no point is there any obligation to switch.
We do not keep hold of bills we receive; they are destroyed for data protection purposes.
We do not have any door knockers – no uSwitch representative will turn up on your doorstep. (But if anyone has or does feel pestered, threatened or a victim of mis-selling at the hands of a door knocker then you can call Consumer Direct on 08454 04 05 06 to report this.)
I hope that has helped, and we look forward to hopefully receiving your bill.:)“Official Company Representative
I am the official company representative of uSwitch. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"0 -
