Harlands / Credit Resolution Services

Hi,
Hopefully you guys may be able to help me with a issue I have with a company called Credit resolution Services.
I was a Member of Inspire Healthcare Gym in Crawley. I cancelled my gym membership after not going for a while. I spoke with the fitness guys there who said just cancel your direct debit - which I did.
I received a couple of letters from Harlands (the company who collected the DD from my bank) saying that I need to pay them the remainder of the 12month contract or they will take me to court etc.
I did not get in contact with them and I have now received 2 letters from a company called Credit Resolution Services. The last letter was a "FINAL DEMAND" and it states that if I do not pay the money owed + their fee's then a Baliff will be round to take payment by way of removing possesions.
Can anyone shed some light on where I stand? Will baliffs come round? Will I be taken to court?
Any help is much appreciated.

check your contract, 12 month minimum term most likely, you also made a fatal mistake, don't ignore letters saying you owe money, they rarely go away.
You are likely on the hook for the money detailled and the longer you put off paying it the more it will become.
You signed up to a membership, you need to pay what's owed - I would do it before its too late.0
