Very very very cheap car insurance...

Ok, this is the situation. I am 19, been driving for 2 years, have a 1.3 K reg fiesta. I've had 2 bumps, but only one claimed, so only really one claim. Last year my insurance was £1100 from halifax, got my renewal in 4 this year, and it was £1400. This is 3rd party only.

Wasn't having this, so I went looking...

Elephant... £490, for 3rd party fire & theft, for 10 months, with a bonus of 1 years no claims bonus.

I am still in shock.

Well done, thats a great saving. Just double check you do have the same cover though.. just incase :) Dont mean to insult you. Should let halifax know elephant's quote and ask them to beat it :D

Presumably you told Elephant about your second accident? Even if you didn't claim for it and settled the damage costs privately this still makes your proposal a higher risk than if you have only one accident.
You should remember that failure to disclose relevant information means that the insurer can void your policy from inception (i.e. cancel it) if you have a claim and they find out about your two accidents.
Having said that £490 for TPFT cover for a 19 year old seems incredibly cheap!
