How to prove address with Halifax Bank account

As per title really, I need to prove my address to another financial issuer.

I get my Halifax Reward account statements on a ad hoc basis through the post, the last one i got I shred and it had the old address on it anyway.

As I recently moved and not received a ststement since then reflecting the new address, I called the bank and asked for another statement to be sent out, they want £5 for it and then takes 7-10 days!

I asked if i could go to branch and they could print something out, they said no.

Any other ideas how to get around this?

Even if I Paid for a copy statement, it would still have the old address on it and I don't see why I should pay so I can prove my address!
I did them the favour of opting paperless on anything I can so saving them money in the long run.

As you have already pointed out, a copy statement will just have your old address on it.

Could you use any other form of ID for example driving license or utility bill?

They are asking for an utility bill too, which I can supply.

I just gave them my bank details for the finance and they asking for proof of bank. I may see if natwest are more helpful in supplying me with something.

    Thanks

If you change your address with Halifax and then order a copy statement, then it will have your new address on it.

Ok, may give that a try, I thought that the copy statement would reflect the address at the time the statement is produced.
