Hi there
I mistakenly deleted some files last Monday. They're not in my 'bin'.
Is there anyway I can recover them please? I thought I'd backed up, but keep getting an error message that back up failed.
Thanks.

You could try "Recuva", available here for free: http://www.piriform.com/recuva0

Thank Ximian
I just did that and my files were on the F drive. I've saved them onto my desktop but when I try and ope the excel and word documents, it's all goobledegook [spelling?].
Any suggestions please?

If Recuva can't do it, maybe Photorec can. It's more tricky, but the information on how to use it is all there:

I thought I'd backed up onto a disk. However, when I insert the disk, there's nothing on it.“It was only a sunny smile, and little it cost in the giving, but like morning light it scattered the night and made the day worth living.”
