The reason I ask is that simply winning in court doesn't guarantee that you will get anything back from them and you may well have to take further action to get the damaged enforced.
If it was a small (A,Daley esq) type setup, they well just decide to fold up the business instead of paying out, but if far less likely to happen with a well established business.
Do you know if the car is an import? as it seems very strange to have an almost new, very expensive car like that without any maunfacturers service stamps. Most people would get at least the 1st service done by them in order to ensure that the warranty was honoured.
I have just had a quick check at Companies House and it appears they are not listed.
Looking at their website, unless his stock is stolen, or his debts outweigh its value, there seems to be quite a bit of an asset holding. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

ive just done the same and come to a more frightening thought
cars are on assignment?
not limited so you have no idea who runs the place
all photos taken at a private house
very poor 10 bob website with no colour to keep costs down
a warehouse as a trade emporium that could well be near lease end
a very poor market at the moment and maybe this sale was needed to keep the rats from the door
who did the full inspection prior to sale by the way?0 -
I have a bit of a search for reviews and can't find anything drastically bad about them. If they were as bad as you imagine, the bad reviews would be out there. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0

hi
its a compay that has been trading for about 20 years, and actually their premises are ok, its basically a converted barn so from some pics might look like a house, buts its a legitimate physical site.
The inspection was carried out by them, not Porsche. They also did the service and stamped the book themselves (they are a porshce specialist), and therefore no porsche stamp = no posche service history (this was its first due service)I never missed a payment :T , I paid off all my credit cards :T , I paid of all my loans :T , i have a work mobile :T - but am now "medium" credit risk

there are some that i've found, there are a couple of threads about them on pistonheads calling them crooks etc.
as for the possible fault, there really are loads of similar threads, and it seems porsche are aware as they have been replacing / fixing under warranty. They car itself is only 2 weeks out of the original manufacturer warranty, and i spoke to porsche today and asked them the question - if its something serious, will you cover it? They said they'd look at it case by case, but would at least contribute, if not pay the whole lot under extreme circumstances. Problem is no porsche servide history is going to hinder me here - and the dealer mislead me about this!
its all catch 22
i also cant get an extended porsche warranty on it as i have to do a 111 point inspection first, which will pick out the smoking issue, disqualifying me from buying one.
i am getting an independent check on friday where they place a camera probe into the internals, to check for any serious damage. if its not serious, then it will be a relief, but if its serious, i'll probably have to go legal on the dealer if porsche wont cover this for me.I never missed a payment :T , I paid off all my credit cards :T , I paid of all my loans :T , i have a work mobile :T - but am now "medium" credit risk
