Hi
Before I start - I’m apologising for being thick as i dont really understand homeplugs
I have an old netgear dg834pn router that I’ve found out does not support bridging/repeaters. Does anyone know if I can still use homplugs with it?
Its a old router, but I’d like to keep it as the kids haven’t killed it yet
We recently got a blu ray player and would like to put it on the internet, but the blu ray player and the router are at opposite ends of the flat from each other.

Homeplugs are not reliant on the features of your router at all they are just plug'n'play ethernet cable extenders. If an ethernet cable would work for any given application then so will having homeplugs as part of the route.0

Shoe Girl, I have an old netgear router and had no problem. I bought mine from homeplugs.co.uk and the tech guy there is extremely helpfull.
Tel 01702 299919 or email your question to support@homeplugs.co.uk
There is some software to install and you need to know the MAC addresses of the Homeplugs, but these are written on the backs of the plugs. If you have any problems, give the chap a ring and he will talk you through it.
Plug one homeplug into a socket near your router and plug an Ethernet cable into your homeplug and the other end into the router. Plug the second Homeplug into a second socket near where you want to work. Plug a second cable into the this Homeplug and the other end into your second computer. Simple as that.
Apart from the two basic Homeplugs, I also have the wireless Homeplug which has been brilliant, but I struggled initially to get it set up also more recently when I swapped my main desktop. Hence I know how helpfull he is.0
