You'll be charged at their 'deemed contract rate' ... which will be more expensive than if you agreed to a fixed term. But it may be cheaper in the long term if you find a better fixed term deal elsewhere.

Most suppliers operate this way for business users"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
Agree with above.
You also need to remember that business contracts are fixed term typically with a 30/90 notice period so when you get to 30/90 before the end of yuor contract you need to tell them what you are going to do otherwsie you may find yourself on another contract that is a lot more expensive and you have no way of getting out of. This forum is littered with threads on that issue.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.

Hi limolfie84 - Business contracts for Elec & Gas are an absolute minefield, no matter who the supplier is.
Though you may have good cause not to want E.ON as a supplier, you have inherited them and your first move should be to demand a hard copy of the contract so that you are fully aware of it's prices and terms.
It will list dates & periods of required notice when E.ON can alter the prices, and importantly for you, when you can change suppliers without the penalty of "Out of Contract" pricing.0 -
Hi Miss S
I'm sorry to hear you've had problems with us in the past.
As Premier says, from the time you took over responsibility for the premises, you'll have been placed on a deemed contract.
Deemed contract rates are higher than other types of agreement like a fixed price/fixed term contract. However, deemed contracts don't have the restrictions on changing supplier these other agreements have.
Full details of your prices and the terms of the agreement will be contained in the Welcome Pack we send out.
