ELC Happy land

hi, sort of a grabbit here if any of you bought happy land when it was half price last week!!
my dd was 3 at weekend and was given the happy land windmill twice, took one back to store today and the lady said it was £17.50 and asked me to look for something to exchange it with, she then came over and said as i didnt have a receipt it would scan at £35 as it had gone up on thursday so she said i needed to exchange with stuff worth up to £35, but happy land is now buy one get one free, so i got
happyland storage case £20
happyland doctors surgery £16 free
happyland toy shop £16
happy land big red bus £16 free.
so all i had to pay was £1.
this was great as the mother in law had originally only paid £17
so any of you that bought it half price should take it back and get it again with one free
hope this helps
i know its not a proper grabbit but i was made up as i was only expecting £17.50

i told them that i didnt know what was paid for it but its been at £17.50 for weeks, i told her it was prob only £17.50 but she said they has to give me what its selling at now, dont understand though cos i thought surely if its on buy one get one free they would want the free one back but they didnt even mention that. even though it didnt come with a free one, she was really nice and was excited as i was to get all that i got

if you already bought some just say they were a gift and that you have 2, then they will tell you what amount you can exchange it for, if they say £35 then you can get stuff on buy one get one free, the woman that served me is prob quite clued up been there a long time, would have been the same if it was the opposite way if we paid £35 but when exchanging had gone down they would have given me the reduced amount, think they just give u what it scans at

    its a long story
    interesting read though,

starts at post 95 and foxy lady does update later on towards end on thread that she has been cleared.

Lesson learned-be careful about returning items without a receipt especially in Boots!
