Hi all,
we have an offer to be 'kidless' from the 30th til the 2nd and wondered what to do with oursleves?
My other half doesn'yknow that I am contemplating organising something other than a meal out and club. (We're 30 by the way, so anything goes!)
All these years you have great ideas about what and where you would go if you had the chance for NY's but when it comes to it, those ideas are no where to be found!
Can you suggest something that bit different? All ideas welcome!

What kind of a budget do you have? Is going away an option?Touch my food ... Feel my fork!0

Whatever you decide to do, DON'T have a party. We did last year, really good evening, fancy dress, everyone had a fab time, but the mess the next day. My god, never ever again!
As above, depending on your budget - going away for a couple of nights? Some hotels in the UK, have gala meals and a disco afterwards - most importantly there will be no cleaning up on New Years Day!
I am in the future you know...
...9 hours ahead to be exact !:D0 -
didn't think of a party............................ (kay, need cleaning staff if do)
Budget- daren't look to be honest, but not much. £200 at a quick stab. (Although could expand if its not too indulgent....ie we really would get something out of it!)
I thought of Edinburgh, but the flights alone are about £270. Then accomadation. Then you think if you are gonna pay that much, go that bit further.....(with money and location!)
I'm open to suggestions!0 -

Most places would cost a bit for NY's I'd say.
I know of a caravan park in cornwall that would put you up for 3 nights at £150 (2 people), but that would be advertising!0 -
Thanks for all your suggestions, but alas all 3 kids had and 2 still have chicken pox!! so thank our buttons that we didn't book anything!
Oh well.
Maybe next year..... or this one....0 -
Well at least that probably meant no hangover on New Years Day!

Well go to the sales and spend the money on a new outfit that you would have spent going away. At least you can wear it for next new year !!!
Hope kids are feeling better and it didn't ruin their Xmas or yours.0
