Why would a company throw money away on a free prize draw? They must make their profit somewhere.Competition wins: Where's Wally Goody Bag, Club badge branded football, Nivea for Men Goody Bag0

You might be lucky enough to get a very VERY cheap camera which will in no way match the amount of money you pay out, even if you write they will ask for money to get your "prize"

Nearly a tenner to find out if you're really a winner or not, and you have to ask if it's a scam? ;-)0

You may also end up on a "suckers" list, thus increasing the amount of junk mail you receiveCompetition wins: Where's Wally Goody Bag, Club badge branded football, Nivea for Men Goody Bag0

This is a very common scam and if you read the letter carefully you will see that it doesn't state that you've definitely won anything.you have definitely won one of our valuable prizes (minimum £25 cash, maximum £20,000 cash) if your unique ID matches any one of the winning ID numbers.
It's no different to me stating that "you have definitely won the lotto jackpot (minimum £4,000,000) if the 6 numbers on your ticket match the 6 drawn numbers".0 -

So, in short, you pay £10 to be told "very sorry Sir, you haven't won, better luck next time".
I knew someone would spot it, though I couldn't see it.Competition wins: Where's Wally Goody Bag, Club badge branded football, Nivea for Men Goody Bag0 -
And I'm sure that once you've paid the £10, you will be identified as someone who responds to these sorts of letters and will be added to loads of further mailing lists.0

Just for info - some very very similar scams offer *vouchers* for wins - you get £200 'holiday vouchers' which can only be booked from some overpriced catalogue where every holiday is marked up by £200+ before you start.0
