in Credit cards
:jJust got off the phone to barclaycard to ask them to reduce my interest rate. Spoke to the customer service person and got no joy. Asked to speak to the manager (nicely though) and explained that I was paying loads of interest. As a good will gesture he has cancelled my interest for the next 5 months, worth about £850. If you have a large balance and high interest then try it out.:T

I checked with the manager. I can still use the card and it is not recorded as an arrangement, simply a promotional gesture of goodwill from barclaycard.0

I had my charges stopped on a Barclays Current Account, which is now cleared from this month and back in operation. On the Credit File that has been showing as Arrangement to Pay.0

Blimey - that's amazing - Barclaycard voluntarily giving you interest! I wonder what will happen with your Experian credit rating ....0

Unless the OP is paying less than the contractual minimum payment, Barclaycard can't legally mark any detramental information on their credit file whatsoever.
It's only if the payments are under what was agreed in the contract that an AP exists - or in the case of a current account, suspending charges for overlimit etc. A brech of contract exists if a cusotmer goes over limit, pays late, or pays less than the minimum. Otherwise the account must be reported as in good order.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
