In my experience, different answers to this question do directly affect the quote. In addition, the insurers normally ask that you answer all questions factually, what if the BIL says he has no access to any other vehicle, could that invalidate his policy?
That question very rarely increases the premium unless you are high risk so its negligible. Everytime I add it I get a reduction.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -
I was a named driver on the girlfriends car and had my own insurance for my car. Didn't make a difference.
I've since got rid of my car completely so I'm just a named driver now.0
