Price Increase by EDF

Hi,

I have heard that EDF energy is going to increase their prices for Online Saver v7 customers by 18% on gas and 34% on elec!!!!!!!!! Is that true?:(:(:(

yes - its the belated march increase (3 months later) - as [EMAIL="onlines@ver"]onlines@ver[/EMAIL] 7 was NOT increased with all the other tarrifs in march. it`ll still be 2% lower than edf standard rate - but theres is the get out of jail clause so you can change (the fixed saver v2 is actually slightly cheaper now)

Just had my EDF letter for Online Saver v7

Excluding 5% vat in Yorkshire

Electricity std charge drops from 26.62p/day to 22.25p/day
old rate 1st 27kwhr@ 19.45p, next 93 @ 9.62p, rest @ 7.28p
new flat rate of 9.45p

Gas std charge drops from 24.37p/day to 20.90p/day
old rate 1st 162kwhr@ 7.00p, next 1901@ 2.891p, rest @ 2.639p
new flat rate of 3.141p

Overall our electricity (5000kwhr pa) goes up 19%
Overall our gas (23850kwhr pa) goes up 13%

If we switch to Fixed Saver 2 (2012) then electricity will be lower than new charges by 8%, but gas will be higher than the new charges by 6%, so overall works out about the same but with no extra price rises.
Fixed 2014 works out for me about 12% higher than Fixed Saver 2 (2012).
