Does anybody know where I can get a triangle key for my electric meter, Just had bill through today for over £700 and £550 of it is day usage and nobody is ever there during the day so it must be wrong (i live alone and work all week). I need to check my readings so i can then screw royally at them.

Many Thanks

I went wickes they say they don't do them and the spotty twerp i spoke to didn't know where to get one from . I might have to get the pliers on it when i get home. God I hope I am right and the meter has been read wrong so I can let some of this anger out at Eon.

  • Hi,

chill a bit, it's not a fancy highfaluting key, only a triangular key, similar to a gas box key,

    Look,

    and easily available.

    Keek.

We're one of the only people on our estate to have one ~ we keep that a bit quiet, as we have a payment meter in the cupboard, top up regularly and don't want it going walkabout. As far as Eon are concerned, the last time I had dealings with them, the lass I was chatting to when I called decided we'd overpaid on our bill and sent us a £160 cheque. Not bad!

Strangely enough when you search Wickes, they don't admit to having spotty twerps. But if you search for 'service cabinet key', you will find evidence pointing to a very definite spotty twerp. I won't post the link, because Wickes don't deserve the publicity.
