Firewire to USB 2 wire?

Hi there im wondering if somebody could tell me if there is such a wire that can run from your firewire socket on the camcorder to a usb port on the computer - i do not have firewire hole.
Ive loooked on ebay and am a little confused at what im looking at.
Any ideas?

if you have a full size pc-card slot, you could use something like this.

Oh, sorry,, for some reason had a laptop in my head.
If you have a usb card slot, you can get usb+firewire combo cards to swap it out.

Found this Firewire to USB cable - http://www.pixela-1.com/captycable/. It claims to be the only one in the world and uses a special chip in the cable - necessary because the two technologies are completely different. At £65 + shipping from USA it would be far cheaper to buy a Firewire card e.g. http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/60573/rb/23787754982, or a combined Firewire and USB card.
What cards do you have installed now?

I've got a similar problem. I've got just one pc card slot on my laptop, but that's currently being used for my wireless internet.
Any suggestions to ensure i could run both firewire and wireless internet or will I just have to keep taking the cards in and out?'Tis the time's plague, when madmen lead the blind0 -
Some time ago I got one off ebay, specifically for camcorder to USB, and it is fine.What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0
