I had my card stolen last week and had it stopped at the bank. I have received a letter this morning welcoming me to telephone banking which I haven't applied for and also a pin number. Can my account still be accessed by the person who stole my card if they happen to guess the pin number?

wait a min.. guess the pin number? well this person who stole your card wont know the pin... but if you phoned up and had it stopped then its stopped i don't know why the bank send you a letter with a pin number.
and if he was to 'guess' then he be pretty darn good at guessing it... hope the pin isn't your DOB or anything like that.. but, as you said you phoned up and got it stopped so that card is now useless well it should be.
what bank you with ?• HSBC (Main A/C)
• Halifax Back up A/C
• Lloyds (Spending) A/C
• RBS Back up A/C
• Barclays Old A/C
• Nationwide Old A/C0 -
Were you registered with telephone banking before you lost the card? If not then call the bank pdq. If you were registered then part of the replacement process for your card will usually include a new PIN.0
