How did you find this offer? Always suspicious of IP address URLs, especially as this one seems to reverse DNS to a hosting company called Rednet who don't seem to do anything else for VW.

Not saying it's dodgy, just looking for clarification

Seems to be legit? Here's the T & Cs from the Yorkshire Building Society site. http://www.ybs.co.uk/winacar/

'All entries containing Home Insurance and/or Motor Insurance renewal dates will be put into a draw, which will take place on 03 April 2007. The winner will be selected at random from all the entries received.
We will contact the winner by telephone or letter no later than 12 April 2007.'

So must include those renewal dates and a phone number.
