Hello, does anyone know what tool I could use to tighten the plastic bolt on the underside of my toilet overflow standpipe?
Heres an identical one:

I've tried a wrench but just can't get it to grip. Many thanks.

Hi, ive taken apart and replaced my downstairs wc recently with no previous experience and used a set of water pump pliers.

I think i bought the above (water pump pliers from tool station if the link isnt allowed) and you can adjust the size and then get a good grip on things.
Hope that helps0 -
Thanks very much!!!<('@')> Oink0

remember not to tighten the nut up too much. they dont need that much. that goes for any plastic nut.
finger tight and then say 3/4 of a turn with the spanner/tool.
if it still leaks then it needs a new seal or a new fitting.Get some gorm.0
