House Sold Price NOT SHOWING

Hi,

How come some houses which have sold within the last few years DO NOT show up with the price they sold for on the Land Registry?

It seems like certain sales involving (particularly for Charities and housing Association's) do not show up. Can anyone verify this please?

Cheers

Thank you for clearing this up.

How would one be able to access the selling price information when a property has been sold in one of the way which means it is excluded?

Specifically, I am trying to find the sold price of a property which occurred in the last 1-2 years by Riverside. Any ideas???

Try writing/emailing the Land Registry. It might be that the information is publicly available on request but not published with the bulk data because (as mentioned) it can skew the averages.

I sold my house to the local council after a compulsory purchase order was put on it. After months of fighting them I was offered higher than all the other house sales in the area (the whole area has been bought by the council) and 2 years later the sold price still hasn't been put on the land registry. I thought it was maybe due to us getting higher and they don't want other people in the area (who are selling to the council) to know that they too can get more. I don't know if the council has the authority to hold back the information though so I'm unsure if that is the real reason. None of the sales on my road have been anywhere near what we got.
