if you can't get direct to barcleno try ryan air into gerona, a bus runs regualary from gerona to barcelon, celtic fans in our house but by the time i started to look the price was way too high, just hope they get through to the next stage and I will be a bit quicker0

Fly to Perpignan (South of France) hire car, 2 hour drive
Fly to Palma Majorca, get Ferry to Barcelona
Airlines love CL a flight that was a tenner becomes £200 minutes after draw made.
You really need to land around 4 or 500 miles from where any teams are playing to get a decent price.
Or make a week/fortnight of it. Prices often much lower 3+ days either side0 -
Check out Skyscanner (Manchester to Barcelona) http://www.skyscanner.net/gbp/flights/man/bcn/february-2007/february-2007/cheapest-flights-per-day-to-barcelona-from-manchester-in-february-2007.html?adults=1&
Not a Liverpool fan, but on this occasion, hope you win...
[edit] - forget that one - now about 4 times the price... may be cheaper to take a few more days off.0 -
being an evertonian i shouldnt be responding to this, but when we went to villarreal last year,we flew amsterdam-reus (barcelona) with transavia with an easyjet connection from liverpool,it worked out cheaper at the time than flying direct.0

forget man or lpl and go from luton0

I've got back from barcelona today - you might save a few quid initially flying to reus or girona with ryanair but the extra cost of buses/trains to and from the airport soon add up - plus neither of them are particularly close to barcelona.
My tip is fly with easyjet from liverpool and go direct to barcelona airport.0 -
best route is to get to london stanstead for those dates you can do it for £60, stay overnight in the kabul or check out hotel nh rallye, about 2 mins walk to nou camp - taxi from airport about £6yes you can beat it :j - everyday is a bonus - use it well0

DO NOT fly to Girona or Reus, the transport costs will far outweigh the savings on the flight.
If Easyjet fly to BCN, then go that way, or BA, who are actually fairly competitive (I'm cheaper flying from Aberdeen to BCN on BA than Easyjet!)
As for accommodation, try out either the H10 Plza de Catalunya on the Plaza, or H10 Gravina just round the corner. Very close to Las Ramblas and the nightlife, Plza Catalunya is also a transport hub for the rest of the city.
Cheers, Ron.
p.s. Yes, I'm a Barca fan.
p.p.s. No, I don't work for H10 group!0 -
Don`t want to put a dampener on things but I somehow think the "low costs" will know about that footie match and adjust prices accordingly..0
