Finding my own posts
Options

Horlock
This may be really obvious to you, but i'm trying to find my own posts.
So I tried Advanced search and searching by user name (which there is no secret of it's Horlock)
Sure enough it shows me every discussion that I've posted in - trouble is I don't want to find the discussions - I want to find my posts - some of them are in discussions with almost 3000 posts - I've tried going page by page and control - fing my user name (which takes two goes each page as my user name is also at the top of the page).
I find it hard to believe there is no way of getting directly to my posts - but maybe it is - or maybe I'm just stupid and missed the obvious. Any useful tips greatfully thanked - (if I can find this post again!:D )

Count yourself lucky, I find if I do an advanced search for all of my posts, it has lost half of them, be them replies to forums or new messages I have posted. Not all of them are there, I sometimes find them if I go through the pages on a particular forum, even though the search cannot do it for me.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

In the search, one of the options is to show posts rather than threads. This should do what you want.[size=-2] If this post was unhelpful, please tell me.

The quickest way to find your own posts is subscriptions.
Just make sure that in your options you are automatically subscribing (You can set it to subscribe but "no email notification" if you don't want the email)
The MSE page I have bookmarked is the subscription page. So I'm entering MSE by seeing if things I've subscribed to have been posted on recently (ones with the most recent replies go to the top)0 -
I used to use a different forum based on the same software as this one.
In that forum, if you went to your User CP, you would find a list of your own posts - in the same way as you see posts when you click on someone's user name. That made it much easier to find the threads that you have contributed to - is there any reason we couldn't have that here?0 -

That's brilliant! That's exactly what I've been trying to find. Thank you.0
