Hi Guys.. Please could you advise where I stand with Tesco Direct and Iomega.
I purchased a media player for a Christmas present last November for my partner. The drive suited our needs and had additional function of connecting to the internet and YouTube. Films and music played fine but the YouTube access did not work. After finding an Iomega forum there was a known issue with an imminent firmware fix being looked into. As I am a bit of a tech head, this at the time, did not bother me, as the unit did play films.I found the update 2 weeks ago on the Iomega website installed and now have YouTube access but films take 15 minutes to start to work. I have spoken to Iomega support and they are stumped and have passed it through to a higher level tech team.
Tesco Direct appear not to want to help they are saying as its firmware then Iomega should support.
I feel that being patient and not returning the unit when I found out about the YouTube issue, that I am now been penalised and pushed between the 2 companies.
As it was not fit for purpose as advertised initially and Under the sale of goods act who is responsible to help me???
