Hi all,
Not sure what to do! I have sent 4 recorded delivery first class letters to the Cahoot Data Control Officer (2 Triton Square, Regents Place, London NW1 3AN) over the last 7-8 months and not one has been delivered. Im pretty sure they are not signing for anything BUT I need it to be signed for so I can prove to the ICO that I have asked them to update the credit agencies. Cahoot has not yet done so as they are not getting the recorded letters.
Is anyone else finding this?
What can I do?
Thanks In advance.

just get proof of postage and also show the resipts for all signed for attempts you made .0

Agree with Brian, as long as you have proof you posted the letters then the ICO should take action. It's highly unlikely that 4 RD letters in a row would go missing.
I would write to the relevant credit reference agency before the ICO though, see if they can get a response for you. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN

Can't you send it to their customer services department in Coventry with a cover letter to explain?

Give them a call on 0844 9000 900 and press '0' on the keypad to skip the automated phone voice.0 -
The Royal Mail Track & Trace service is not always accurate when it comes to mail sent to company addresses.
On a few occasions, I have sent letters via Recorded Delivery to various companies which have shown as 'not delivered' or 'pending' on their Track & Trace facility. However, I know they were in fact delivered on time as I enquired by telephone or got an immediate reply.0 -

The geographical number for Cahoot is 01908 937222 and *** to skip. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

Or it could be that Cahoot have a blanket policy of not signing for any "signed for" mail. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
Under the rules of signed for, if it's not signed for then it shouldn't be delivered as that negates the purpose. If something has been delivered but not signed for then I would complain to the Post Office.
There's absolutely no reason why a receptionist, secretary or post room clerk cannot or should not sign for post received. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN
