Is it Possible to BT to Egg Then SBT?

Hi,

I did the tarting thing a few years ago but jumped off 'cos I coun't get any more cards approved and I've decided it's time to get back in the game.

At present I have a Morgan Stanley card I use regularly (although in process of changing over to Amex for better cashback). I also have an Egg card which I do not use (but will do when my anniversary comes up in June :) ), and I have an MBNA card.

I recently applied for a Virgin card, but got refused 'cos I've already got an MBNA card so I called MBNA and got them to agree to 1.9% 'till 1st Aug with no fee (could of got 0.9% but with 2% uncapped fee so declined this). So got them to SBT 15K to my bank account - great :D

My questions is... as I've not got any other CC debt to transfer can I do an on-application BT to my Egg card from a non-SBT card provider such as Halifax - putting Egg hugely in credit - and then do a BT from Egg to my bank account, then transfer that into my eSavings?

I'm thinking that this would avoid all fee's but I'm not sure if Egg allow it, or if there is a better way of getting the money into my savings account.

Cheers,

Paul

That's what I did & it worked for me [although I didn't do it at time of application]. See my "OK eggy experts..." post of a few weeks ago to check out the advice I was given. Happy stoozing!
