Confused about bank statement recieved

Hi there, last year i was in debt with santander bank i was overdrawn 1,000 pounds, but last week i recieved a letter than showed me a statement of that account but it showed i had 1000 pounds in the account(no minus or overdrawn signs) at the bottom of the letter it read : Dispute resolution If you have a problem with your agreement please try to resolve it with us in the first instance. If you are not happy with the way we handled your complaint or the result you may be able to take the complaint to the financial ombudsman service.

What does this mean, i thought i was in debt, was it overturned? was it a misprint and should have said minus 1000? anyone help?

Log into online banking and read what your balance is.

If you know you owe £1000 then you will know whether there is a mistake on your account or not.

I havent signed up to online banking, when i went to the bank today all they told me at the desk was my account is closed so they dont know :S

What did they say about the standing of your account?

How do you feel that they may have kept £1000 of yours? :cool:

All they told me was "Your account is closed, its gone to a third party so we cant help you", But i firstly dont understand why i recieved a bank statement if this is the case, secondly why does it say i have a 1000 pounds, when the last thing i was aware of i owed them 1000 pounds for an unpaid overdraft, very confusing!
