Am looking for some finishing touches for a room that has been decorated in a beach style. I am looking for a light shade and rug and possibly bed linen, could anyone point me in the right direction please

For an elegant, hotel type feel, I'd always pick crisp white sheets, as high a thread count as you can afford. Co-ordinate it with a throw for the bottom of the bed and cushions to top it in a matching colour.
Like this place, pure heaven:

What colours have you chosen for it? Light blues and sand or navy, red?Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

its mainly all white, the walls are steel and have painted the floor white with pavillion grey (farrow and ball) for the furniture, but feel I need to introduce some colour, pastel stripes? I dont have a lot of time to trawl round shops, so suggestions welcome. Have you got a picture? I can't see the link between beach and grey - is it the painted floorboards?
I've got a lot of white and grey in my house and it looks, well, grey. We've got slipper satin (white), lamp room grey and downpipe. It's not beachy.
Grey, for me, needs colour to offset it. It provides a lovely, grown up backdrop to showcase other items. Even if it's white cushions with some colourful embroidery on it, you need to add the personality in your possessions. Definitely white bed linen though, it's part of that backdrop, not the main feature.
Have a look through this lot and tell us if there's a style that jumps out and we'll see if we can find similar items for you:

I would say its predominantly white, the painted furniture is very very pale grey, and thats why I need to introduce colour, I'm not very good at colours and finishing off:jDoozergirl wrote: »Have you got a picture? I can't see the link between beach and grey - is it the painted floorboards?
