cyclingyorkie, DD is 2 and a half and DS has just turned 8 months, so there's 21 months between them. Our family on both sides are amazing. We're so lucky! My mum is brilliant and practical stuff like coming round and cleaning and tidying, whereas DH's parents are great at taking the kids. What's the problem with your girls sharing a room? I ask because we are in a 3 bed house and couldn't afford to move, so two of ours would have to share.

pigpen, this proper made me lol - "...don't get worked into a flap over every sneeze fart and squeak" :rotfl: I have already found the difference in our parenting with DS compared to DD is massive. We're so much more relaxed now!! I do get the feeling that we could be in for a nightmare baby next time (if there is a next time). DD wasn't too bad, but DS is a walk in the park. Such a lovely natured little man and although his sleep is broken cause he feeds a couple of times a night still, he drops off without problems.

magicgirl, i use cloth too. It's Fab! I don't find the extra washing too hard either. I already do tons of it, so an extra load every other day is nothing! I think i would want DS to at least be in his free 15 hours before any other kiddos were born. But i think you're right about work. While i might JUST be able to go back with two, it may just be impossible with three.

list-less, Yeah it's a bit unearving when friends just laugh evilly at you after you've asked them that question. I asked about having 2 when DS was on the way and just got a "BWA HA HA HA HAAA!!" from one girl. :rotfl: You're right, the books i bought for parenting DD are now sat in the cupboard gathering dust. I feel a declutter coming on! Mine have all been c-sections too. I've actually had 4 c-sections already because we lost two babies before managing to bring home DD & DS. One was a full term birth and the other at 25 weeks. Then DD & DS both at 38 weeks. There was some concern over whether i would be allowed to have more, but although i had some adhesions it was all okay in there thankfully.

Mumto5, You raise a good point. I'm not really thinking about any future challenges and difficulties with the kids. Things might be okay if they all have average ups and downs, but if something out of the ordinary or a bit more challenging happens what would we do? I guess we really need to think about that. Because i only have a baby and a toddler i don't really think past current challenges. It's reassuring that you say going from 2 o 3 was the easiest though.

gratefulforhelp, I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage (((hugs))). Oh gawd, don't tell me it takes longer to leave the house! I already have to plan three days in advance and pack everything the night before and get up early. lol!

outofmoney, What is with all the topping and tailing?!? I don't get it, babies just don't get that dirty! Plus they get their bum washed frequently enough anyway. My friend swore by Gina Ford when she had her twins though. She just needed someone to tell her exactly what to do. I love my sling too. My double buggy is great, but sometimes the sling just does the job better.

embb, Another vote for the "3 is much easier than 2" club. You girls might just be getting me pregnant! Well... not literally... and not yet... ;)

mamaninie, It sounds like you would have similar age gaps to ours. Didn't think about the timing of maternity leave for when DD starts school, but that's a good point!

sorry for any mistakes, DS is crying now and wants feeding.
    Sarah. :p
DD is 8 years old DS1 is 6 years old
    DS2 is 14 months old

Yes, thought he was fab - highlights were the 'sunlounger incident' and the shovel!

Ha ha! I had forgotten about the sun lounger! :rotfl:I thought the shovel was brilliant - so well timed!

We're getting Lily back! :j:T:j the lady that had her was looking to rehome her as she thinks one of her kids is allergic so just got off the phone with her and she's thrilled she's got her original owner back.....and you'll never believe where she lives, not 60 seconds walk away :D picking her up tomorrow avo, need to buy food/litter and stuffs and also got to keep her in for 4 weeks.....erm....try forever! :D

That's good news :) It does annoy me when people feed other people's cats! :( If they hadn't have fed the 'stray' in the first place, you wouldn't have lost her, and been without your cat for 18 months  And after all that, they were going to re-home her!!
If I really thought a cat was stray, the first thing I would have done would be check with a vet that it wasn't microchipped, then maybe claim it as mine. The nutty lady over the back from us locked my old cat in her shed & fed her ('cos she would come straight home if she hadn't!). She then took her to the vets & got her put down & buried her in her garden :mad: I found out about this months later, via my neighbour via her even nuttier OH  She KNEW that cat was mine!! Her OH tried to shoot her in the end - but that's another story!! :rotfl: (I did say he was nuttier!!)

    Anyway.....

Food shopping done, CRB form completed for DD2 (need to post), unopened post cleared from hall :o and dinner decluttered.

Hugs and spoons to those that need them, esp Sammie & DD

pigpen she just wont and i cant make her something shes not and everytime shes tried to stick up for herself it just gets a whole lot worse this girl is so crafty she gets others to do her dirty work and is so sneaky i dont know why every one is so blind to what she is doing she rings round everyone making up stuff and people stop talking to my Dd i just think they dont want the same thing to happen to them.

it takes time for them to build the confidence and anger to do it.. but they do eventually.. even my sister, i took 4 year sof us constantly saying.. so hit her back!.. before she actually did it.. when she did it was hilarious the main bully's mother came storming over and went mad saying she should be punished and all sorts and 'did you know she hit my daughter'... My mother stodd there and said nothing then said 'Good.. 'I'm glad.. it has taken years for us to get her to stand up to your hateful little bullying daughter hopefully now she will see L won't put up with it and she will leave her alone and stop being such a horrible little girl' ... not a lot she could ay to that one when my mother had been in school day after day after day for years!

With DD2 I took her in and said 'she has been told if Charlotte hits her she is to hit her back.. my daughter is not a punchbag and you are obviously incompetant at watching them adequately so she will stand up for herself'

    That one took 3 days.

DS3 it was harder as it was a girl and her evil chavvy cousin and 2 friends picking on him.. in the end he broke the main girls nose.. and I said good she might leave him alone now.. school made a huge fuss because he is a boy and hit a girl.. I said domestic abuse in adults works both ways.. and just because she has a vagina does not give her the right to hit a boy who is half her size!!! you wouldn't stop her.. so he has.. Her mother accosted me in the street and warbled on about her poor daughter.. and I just replied.. 'well bully's always get their comeuppance, and if she touches him again he has my permission to hit her again. you tell her to keep her nasty little hands off my son and he won't hit her!' She tried it once and he calmly said 'would you like me to break your nose again?' and she backed off immediately.. we never had any more bother lol. he has been fantastic at high school away from them all :D

They all eventually deal with it.. and children being evil little critters do tend to head for the primitive route anyway.. I am sure the nasty girl will find someone sooner or later who will knock seven shades of daylight out of her.. and it won't be before time! (though I think a lot of the time the parents need it too!!!!)

    hello

have been a bit awol :o but things got a bit much lately!
i am working on getting it all back on track again!

we had a public holiday here yesterday (happy birthday queen :D) - so no flying but chill day at home with lots of board games!

back on track today - we are having our quaterly inspection on friday so i really need to get cracking

big frog eaten 'burp' - phoned course advisor and asked to change my course from cert4 to cert3 - i just don't have enough time to put in those extra hours - and a certificate is a certificate in the end ...

got a bit distracted today with 2 ad hoc coffee invitations; how could i refuse ;)

    but i have done:
washing nr. 3 (2 hung out)
    dw un/reloaded
dropped clothes bag at friends house (frog list)
phoned 2 lawn mowers for quotes (they will come round later)
half tidied back garden (got all toys together - now just need to clean the toybox)
put the trampoline up on chairs (need the lawn to recover a bit; storm knocked a pole over!)
    put bin outside
    put recycling outside
put all empty bottles in garage (for cashback)
    put garage stuff into garage

    to do:
    finish kitchen
    put clothes away

hugs and spoons and vibes as needed :kisses3:

Morning ladies :D so I reckon I've had about 12 hours sleep  my brain just thinks home = sleep, I do it every time I come back. :o

Can't do anything for a good few hours because my room is above my mum's and she'll kill me :p I'm feeling a bit wheezy, it's the ibuprofen that's done it, my mum said it would! :p why oh why do I never listen :p still, lesson learned eh. I might tell her she was right just to cheer her up ;)

Today, I'm posting an eBay parcel, and sorting out my desk. Baby steps eh :p
