Disney 5 Day "Base" tickets v premium Tickets

Hi there,
After many deliberations between two families who want to do slightly different things when going to Orlanda in October, we have finally agreed that a 5 day "Base" ticket to Disney is best suited to all our needs and is best value. Cheapest price so far is £543.22 for a family of 4 (2 adults/2children). I'm just a bit concerned that most of the major ticket websites just don't do the "Base" ticket - i.e. no park hopping, no extra days in typhoon lagoon, blizzard beach etc as in the Premium 5 day ticket.
Is the 5 day Base ticket still really a ticket IYSWIM? Just a bit worried I'll be buying a ticket that is actually out of date now? Is it because the premium 5 day magic your way ticket is the most popular so that is what is stocked/sold? Any tips would be appreciated! Thanks

you can buy base tickets on the way into the Disney theme parks, I think the shortest one is 3 days.
I bought base tickets when I went as I didnt intend to park hop and found that one park was more than enough to fill in one day
How much time you want to spend at Disney will depend on how much time you want to spend at Universal, Seaworld etc.0 -
Yes, they are really tickets! Basically, the US have Magic Your Way tickets which is what you're looking and we have the Premium and Ultimate UK as our needs are different to US visitors.
We went last year and had the Magic Your Way park hopper tickets as they suited our needs much better than the UK equivalents and were significantly cheaper at the time.
Had no problems whatsoever and when we go again I'll be buying the US tickets again.0 -
Thank you for helping me! Its so confusing!0

We bought Magic Your Way base tickets when we went as we didn't want park hopping and water parks (which you pay for with the premium tickets) so it was much cheaper for us.
I booked ours via the Virgin Hols Reps in Orlando and picked them up at the VH desk at Orlando International when we arrived.[/CENTER]Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endQuidquid Latine dictum sit altum videtur0
