My free travel insurance with coop privilege current a/c is about to end which force me to find another alternative ...

The visible option that I could see is the Travel insurance Perks which come with NW flexi account.
The following is an extract from NW
http://www.nationwide.co.uk/current_account/travel-cover.htm

“ ....
On completion of your Account Transfer you will receive confirmation of your cover and the supporting documentation.
For full eligibility criteria please take a look at the policy summary.
To see what’s covered take a look at the summary of cover.
Please note:
  • To maintain your free Travel Cover, you must credit at least £750 per month into your FlexAccount (excluding internal transfers).
  • etc *”
My question here is that, what happen if:
I only put £750.00 one month before I travel and continue doing so I am back in the UK. I will repeat the same thing if I travel to EU countries again.

Does anyone have any though on this or have a first hand experience on this?
Do I still get insurance perks in this case.
Thank You

Remember you want the insurance in place (for cancellation purposes) when you book, not just before you travel.

Why not use the account as it is meant to be used rather than risk spoiling it for those who do. Nationwide are not in the business of 'accounts at all costs' and will withdraw the perk/tighten up on it if it gets misused. You then won't need to wonder 'am I covered or not?'

Thank you dzug1, for higlighting one possible pitfall of doing so and your other constructive comments of people misusing the account (including me of course :)) :j

    I will notice that ...
