I goto carboots every weekend for the last 10 years and sell once every year I have found it has changed ALOT over that time! There is now alot of VERY RUDE immigrants (mainly Aficans) who want everything for nothing and just push you out of the way to get to a stall. If somebody wants to sell something under a quid I don't normaly haggle unless it is only worth 20p like a keyring or toy car. When selling at a car boot I tent to take as much as possable SIMPLE RULE IF YOU HAVE TAKEN IT YOU DON'T WANT IT! I never come home with anything I just give it away at silly prices! I would rather have 20p than nothing. As for give it to a charity shop!! Do you think they want the stuff you could not sell at a carboot? Normaly make about £300 once a year kids toys/clothes, stuff I have bought before.EVERYTIME YOU THANK MY POSTS A PUPPY DIES!

Yes, I think they would want the stuff I haven't sold at a car boot sale. Why? Because I don't try to sell rubbish. I never bring things that are broken, damaged or distorted.
Incidentally, I'm happy to take stuff home and try to sell at the next boot sale. Some people come every weekend, but most buyers are not regulars, so different things sell on different occasions. Simples.Call me what you like, I was a bit "tiddly" when I chose my username

I'm the complete opposite to the posters who say they don't look at stall without prices - I don't look at stall where everything IS priced. I always feel like if they've written a price down, that's what they want for it and I feel awkward about haggling.
Sounds to me like you just had a bad crowd though - very reasonable prices! Up here, it getting to the point where I have to stop myself just laughing at people over the ridiculously high prices they're charging for old board games and toddler clothes - £6 for Mousetrap? £14 for a 2-3yrs Next dress and tights? £5 for a keyring that has the SHOP'S £2.99 price sticker on? To the OP - do you reckon you'd have better luck selling your baby bits at an NCT Nearly New Sale? I think we're going to do that although never been to one.0

Let me come to your stall, I think you're prices are cheap. Stick at it, if those are your prices then I think you are being more than reasonable. The problem is that people want something for nothing. Good luck for any future boot sales you do.Cross trainer fund- £21.0
