Feedback help...cunning seller...

Hi,
I bought something from a seller on the 19 Nov paid instantly via paypal. Seller said he sent item to me on the 21st but I never received it. So I contacted him a week later, he assured me he will check with the post office and get back to me. He never got back to me but I sent him numerous emails after that saying that I want a refund.
Then suddenly I received the item on 13 Dec and the postage details on the package says item has been posted on 12 Dec using first class post.
I am very angry as he had been lying to me all this while and it took him more then 3weeks to send the item to me. I just checked his feedback and found out some buyers also had the same problem as me.
One buyer gave him a neutral saying item took weeks to arrive. He posted a follow-up to say he was sorry for the delay but then proceeded to leave the buyer a negative saying he is not worth dealing with.
I really wanted to leave this guy a neg or at least a neutral but I am sure he will leave me a neg in return. What do you guys think I should do?

I dont understand why people lie about when they have sent things cos as soon as it arrives with the printed postage label the buyer can see the date it was posted and realise the seller was lying
you will probably get a negative then, you can always leave a response to explain why. it depends how bothered you are about leaving him a negative/getting a negative yourself.
i would probably leave it and just be happy that you received the item0 -
i`d say be honest in your feedback it gives other buyers a chance to think twice before they buy from them, dont worry about a neg in return we all get them eventually through no fault of our own from idiots  when i buy i check feedback and you can normally see a pattern forming from the bad ebayer you owe it to others to be truthful otherwise they get away with it time and time again. if someone just has the odd neg in hundreds of transactions im not really worried about buying from them you can tell by checking out both sides who is in the wrong.proper prior planning prevents !!!!!! poor performance!
Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realise we cannot eat moneyquote from an american indian.0 -
Wait until 90th day, leave him negative, if you time it right when he goes to leave you feedback he won't be able to as Ebay remove the option after 90 days.... hope that helps... Lee0

Don't leave him any feedback but report him to ebay for abuse of the feedback system.Behind every great man is a good womanBeside this ordinary man is a great woman£2 savings jar - now at £3.42:rotfl:0

90 days isn't a hard limit, my one and only retaliatory neg left for me on one of my lesser ids was left after 5 months. The 90 days is easily bypassed if you know how.

Don't let the fear of getting negative feedback stop you from giving it. If everyone did this the system would be useless, you can always leave a response - personally I always check the details if I'm buying from someone with negative feedback.0

Leave Negggative, I bet you wish other buyers had then you wouldnt be in this situation. If he leaves neggative you can do a follow up on his & yours.Be polite in your neg feedback, he will probably be nasty & that will show others who are more likely to believe you. I always read both sides of the story before judging.0

he was probably waiting until he had successfully transferred the money from Paypal into his bank account before sending the item...it seems there are a few people around that do this.....0

If thats the case then why lie about it?
Personally I'd leave a neg purely for the lie being told to me.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0
