Just got home to find that my Pilot Light on the boiler has gone out. Can't find instructions anywhere. Anyone know of a good plumber in North Manchester (one thats not going to rip me off as I am very skint). Or if you've got any ideas of what may be wrong/where to look? (there doesn't seem to be a switch to light ir back up)

Any help gratefully received! IT says friendly format 80E make is Sime. It makes a whirring then click noise constantly when it is 'ON'0

Hi
you have a combi boiler then?
Sounds like it does not have a permanent pilot . The noise you hear is the fan and pump running and the click is the spark generator trying to light the pilot.
It is either shorting out before it reaches the pilot or the gas valve pilot solenoid is faulty.
Can you look through the window and see a spark?

Hi,
Yes a combi. I can't see any sparks.0 -
Hi
Could well be PCB at fault or if you are lucky the lead from PCB to the pilot /spark assembly.
That's about it. Now you just need someone to dig around inside.(qualified!!)
Good luck
