I doubt we are have E7 then to be honest. One counter, no buttons etc.I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy

.1. You say the radiators are switched off at the wall, if the look a bit like this or these they are E7 Night Store Radiators.
.2. If your radiators are like the ones above its almost certain you have cheap electric water heating called an E7 direct cylinder in your attic. If it is E7 [ cheap rate works during the night ] it will have two holes in the side of the tank top & bottom with cables coming out of each hole like this
.3. If the tank in the attic has two holes you will have a switch somewhere like one of these, that will allow you to override the night time only and use it as a conventional expensive day time immersion heater.
So are your radiators like .1. ? / Is your tank like .2. ? / Do you have a switch like .3. ?Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion.
