Car leasing transfer websites

Hi,
I recently took on a car lease, unfortunately due to ill health I am unable to drive now. I'm not sure what to do with my car now. I was hoping I would be able to hand the car back but I can't. Is it possible to transfer the lease to someone else? I've just had a look on the internet and there seems to be websites where you can set up lease transfers.
Does anyone have any experience or advice about this? Is it a good idea?
Thanks
Hazel

If you cannot afford or need to keep the lease then transferring it is ideal. Do you have anyone in the family you
can trust to keep up the payments even if you need to discount it slightly & pay some yourself?
Have you asked the leasing compant what their conditions are for transferring the lease?
Finding a reuptable company is a must, You dont want to end up paying the full cost yourself if they
fail to keep up the payments.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Would such a swap even be legal?
The issue I would be concerned about - what if they trash the car, surely you'd still be legally responsible.0 -
Its legal if the lease company allow the transfer and change the details to the new keeper. But care is needed
doing it any other way.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
