Dont drag all this up again..... Just search for Vista in the forum and you will get all the replies you need...people have made thier minds up a long time ago to love or hate it and everytime one of these threads come up the usuall scare-mongering happens...Also windows Business doesnt come with the media centre0

I won a copy of Vista, but so far havent installed it as I am happy with XP for the moment, the only thing putting me off Vista, is most of my hardware is incompatable with Vista drivers. Aside from that, it looks quite impressive, and however much folk want to put it off, eventually we will have no choice but to have it. akin to windows 3.1, ME and 98, although still useable, they are very vulnarable to trojans, (no updates). and a lot of new hardware and software, wont even look at them.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Vista is pretty, but finding out anything else about it may be rather difficult for those who haven't already tried it!0

That sounds like a microsoft sales promotion .. lots of words but nothing tangiblesco0ter wrote:Networking, System recovery, Security,Performance, Interface, with the right hardware gaming performance will exceed XBOX 360 (and Im not talking a mega PC).
I intend replacing my computer next year, I will await Vista (I might even await the first round of bug fixes) simply because I am not convinced all these 'upgrade to Vista' and 'Vista ready' computers on the shelves today will do the job. I have read quite a bit about Vista and even played around with the Beta .. the best I can say is that it is an operating system and just as boring, it is typical Microsoft bloatware.

Sorry for lack of evidence but its not released yet... I too tried all the Betas.. Networking and system recovery are definately better and I can say this through experience... No more computer hangs like XP used to do.. Still running RC2 with no additional spyware, firewall, virus scanner except the ones that come with it and the system is as clean as a whistle. Windows firewall now stops outgoing connections so no more need for Zonealarm. As for the gaming aspect... read Nvidia,Ati,Microsoft websites for reviews on that.... The first operating system to fully utilise a dedicated GPU meaning less work for your CPU... Cant be bad0
