Ice Cream Mix

I'm looking at buying one of the ice cream makers as reviewed sometime back on the Which? website.
One thing bothers me though about ice cream makers in general and that is the mix.
Having looked at a number of recipes online I have no doubt that I will be able to put all the ingredients together, but as Which? states it does take time.
So my question is this: does any one know if there are domestic quantises of ice cream mix/powders/liquid available on the market and if so could you supply a web address?
I've carried out a Google search but with no luck. I've also just sent an email to Sainsbury's and Tesco asking if they stock ice cream mixes - my local stores don't.
Thank you for any assistance you can offer.

Kevin, a ready made ice cream mix would be dire. Ice cream is only cream/milk with some fruit or flavouring.
It's not hard to chuck in a tin of ready made custard and blitz some fruit down, and add a little milk. Or a tin of coconut milk with some blitzed pineapple.

As far as i know you can not buy pre made ice cream mixes from the supermarkets but might do on the internet. Putting the ingredients together doesnt take long at all, its like baking a cake, it can take 5 minutes or can take longer depending on if your prepared eg make sure you buy the ingredients, as long as you find a recipe to experiment with eg a simple 1 then it wont take long at all.0

Why on earth would you want to buy an ice cream maker then use a commercial mix full of additives? The whole point of a machine is so you can use natural ingredients and make it from scratch. You honestly might as well just buy ice cream than use a machine with a bought mix. As people have already said it really doesn't take that long for some recipes (some can if you make the custard from scratch yourself). See these:
http://www.nigella.com/recipes/view/no-churn-bitter-orange-ice-cream-176 - this one is really quick and you can put the mix in an ice cream machine to have ice cream in around 30 mins. It can then be adapted to have other flavours.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/coconuticecream_86100 easy peasy ( and sound so yum that I'm gonna try it asap)
http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/mochaicecream_70043 - again easily adapted.
See a quick mix, whip then into the ice cream maker.
Mixes - just say no0 -
I just freeze left over ready made custard if I ever buy any of the good stuff in at Christmas and the like. If you want to fancy it up, add extra cream to it (recipes all over the place on t'interweb, and I think I had a thread asking for help about 6 months ago). Freeze it a bit, in a carton; take it out, beat it a bit; re-freeze, repeat until it's a nice texture then leave in the freezer till you want it. Delicious, extravagant and you don't need to buy a machine - or any ready-made mix - just buy the nicest ready-made custard your budget warrants!
