Free fathers day card, using code @ funkypigeon

Thankyou OP for this great post. I have sent a card to my Dad for Father's Day, although I was a bit disappointed that when I uploaded the photo, a bit of white still showed at the side of the face, no matter how much I enlarged it. It seems to be a mistake on the card, but never mind, he will still love it.Money, money, money, must be funny, in the rich man's World!0

the 'apply' button has gone, from next to the promo code. The price does update though, if you put the code in then go on to the next page.52% tight0

to make an a5 card costs funkypigeon around 10p. they then pay around 20p reduced rate postage. everytime you order a card from them, you are giving them your address and (in some cases) the recipients. that card then goes up on your auntie glenda's mantle-piece and every random person that wanders in and scans the cards, will see the large "funky pigeon" logo on the back. also, how many people have put their funkypigeon referral code on their facebook this weekend to entice friends to get the free card and you get your £3 referral fee? even those who didnt buy will now have heard of funkypigeon. Also how many of you will now be telling mrs x from next door or the women down the shop or at work, all about the glitch? moonpig pay in the region of £50,000-£70,000 (depending on time slot) for the 30-second adverts you see on tv to be shown, then more to produce the advert in the first place (basing this on my media studies training, some 5 years ago so give way for inflation and current climate). so all in all, this is more than likely a loss leader. funkypigeon are losing a lot less than we would be led to believe and can recoup some of it from selling on your details and put the rest down to advertising.
....in my opinion of course

princesslou: Yep, agreed. These companies know exactly what they are doing.0

Does anyone know how long you have to use up any referral credit ? (i.e. by what date). Thanks.0

its like some people feel sorry for them though and think "oh poor funkypigeon". same when Tesco lost out on the DTD. People dont realise that Tesco will just recoup that money by adding an extra 1p onto your loaf of bread for the next 6 months! Tesco made in the region of 3.4 billion PROFIT in 2010 alone. Thats 10% more than the year before. they are ripping us off day after day, so I say take advantage of these glitches and offers wherever you can.
Plus, if my information is up to date, WH Smiths recently bought or made some partnering investment in Funky Pigeon. They make around 1.3billion profit annually (oddly it never seems to change much) so loss leaders like this just advertise their brand! WH Smith havnt got where they are now by being stupid and losing all profits to glitches so you can be sure there are greater plans behind this.
right, now i am done ranting, i am off to search the freezer for a Twister ice lolly and possibly hang out some washing before DS wakes up from his nap0 -
