How much would you pay for this invite?

ok I've had another look at this constuctively and these are the reasons that I wouldnt go for it as a wedding invite
The envelope issue of it not fitting flush in the envelope.
The fact that there isnt a lot of space to put details of the venue and key things on the invite...you need to include quite a few details when sendind wedding invites and there isnt a lot of space on the card for them..
Increasing the size of the invite wouldnt really help as possibly thr post prices would increase because of the size and also thickness..posting first class standard is 44p and large letter 75p so theres quite a lot of extra postage money to possibly factor in#
You cant easily include details of gift lists/accomodation/wedding websites/menus etc without turning it into a substantial pack which again impacts postage
I do like the concept of the invite but not as a wedding invite...it would be great for a kids birthday or something like that but theres too much info needed for a wedding to fit on that space...
I do however love the letters that you also have on the photos...fantastic baby gifts!

I actually quite like them

I think they'd go fine in a well fitting "normal" envelope - and it would be really good if you could cut RSVP / Further details cards to the same size and hide them inside.
That said, I think they'd only be cool as a "home made", "bit different" kinda thing - to me it looks like quite a cheap/easy idea, so wouldn't really imagine anyone paying for it - if I received it, I'd assume the wedding was on quite a budget and they'd knocked them up for 5p each from hobbycraft...that's not necessarily a bad thing, naturally, but means I wouldn't pay a whole lot for someone else to make them...0 -
i agree with lejc--
wedding invites need a lot of info on them- and all you could put on this is..
sam and ... are getting married on 23rd July at ........ rspv by ....
you couldnt put any other info on it- and would therefore need to follow it up with another card- which is more expense and more timeIs a married woman!! 23rd July 2011 Best day of my life!

Apologies O.P. but they're horrific. What are you thinking?Pants0

Horrific is a bit of an over reaction Warehouse. A bit of a cruel comment.
Whilst they are not my kind of thing, I would not say they were horrific. There may well be someone out there who would like them, maybe not as a wedding invite but as a little notelet, as a wedding acceptance card, or to pop in a bunch of flowers as a little note.
I think for the wedding market you are best sticking to the traditional size cards, as that is what I as a bride went for, with a slight alteration of having a ribbon tied opening. Maybe think about changing the way you label them and rebrand them as a love notelet or similar?
Don't let this put you off, as technically the card works, and is very intrecate (sp?) and has its own style, just not a wedding card.
Hope that makes sense.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No: 86 :j0 -
dont think op wants to talk to us about it as she has gone to other parts of the forum and got responses which clearly she wanted saying that they think it would go for £3.50Is a married woman!! 23rd July 2011 Best day of my life!

I have to say it looks really cheap. It would look as if you couldn't afford invites and had mad a bit of a botched job of making your own. Sorry!weight loss target 23lbs/49lb0

:eek:just read the other thread. I thought the posted was thinking of buying them for her own wedding.
So the bride is going to pay £3.50 each for 80 invites?:eek:weight loss target 23lbs/49lb0 -

That's very harsh and untrue actually. She posted on the other forum before she posted on this one, so this was to confirm (or otherwise) what she'd been told on there.
I'm not really surprised that she's not come back, after some of the comments on this thread. The bride had actually requested that particular invitation after receiving one like it, just to clarify.0
