Warren Guest House - Carlisle

My partner and I are hoping to stay in Carlisle for one night, early July but most accommodation seems fully booked or very expensive. Warren Guest House appears a possibility but a friend who lives in Carlisle says it looks a bit run down on the outside and there are no reviews on Trip Adviser.
Can you help with any genuine knowledge of the place
Many thanks

Hi,
don't know about the Warren, but Travelodge have a sale on just now, pretty basic, but clean enough.0 -
problem with Travelodge is only free rooms on Southbound M6, to get there from South have to drive all the way up to Gretna and back !! Not very practical for a night out.0

Just had a look on google streetview. Looks like a B&B thats sat on the main road, its cream with orange window sills. I googled the name for the postcode.
It also has a website, which has the bedroom pictures - http://www.warrenguesthouse.co.uk/
Parking looks to be at the rear/side.
It really depends on how much they are charging, if this was in the city, then i would be thinking a max of £20 per person per night. If it was in a remote site, which had limited accomodation, then maybe £30 at a push (£60 per night).
It may look a bit dated on the outside, but thats not what you look at when your sleeping.0 -
Premier inn in Carlisle is nice, I booked a stay for my mum and her friend, clean and cheap, not the M6 one though, she was at the one in the centre which is well located.
I really like Carlisle, the shopping is really good and theres lots of little cafes, it has alot of Character  Its not far from the lakes either.
If you look on tripadvisor the Central Premier inn is the second best rated.
How annoying is it not being able to post links!0 -
