Floors2go guarantee

I purchased laminate flooring at floors2go 2 years ago, the flooring cost around £20/m and had a 25 yr guarantee. Several of the planks which receive most wear are starting to develop White around the edges as if the colour/print us wearing off I must add that it is heavy domestic standard and is fitted in my lounge and hallway, I have the company assessor coming out on Tuesday but I'm looking for some advice on my rights before they arrive, I don't really want to replace the flooring as it will lead to the need to redecorate as skirting will need removing and so on but at the same time I don't see why I should have paid for something which is supposed to last 25yrs and is worn after 2! Any advice on my rights and what's fair to accept from them would be appreciated.
Thanks
Thanks

I think you need to decide exactly what you do want before the assessor comes.
If you are claiming the stuff is faulty, and has a 25 year guarantee, surely it would be acceptable for the floor to be repaired or replaced, wouldn't it?
The other alternative could be a refund, or partial refund.
But that would probably mean returning the floor.
Those are your statutory rights.
The 25-year warranty is in addition to your statutory rights, and you will need to study the T&Cs of your warranty to find out what that offers.0 -
Thanks for the reply, the biggest problems I have are that one, there are no details of the t&c of the guarantee on the paperwork that came with the flooring so exactly what the guarantee is for is as yet unknown and the second problem is that I have bought all my furniture to match the wood colour and removing the floors would mean removing skirting boards meaning redecoration etc, the flooring has not deteriorated to a point that it is highly noticeable without closer inspection so I am purely miffed that it's going to get gradually worse until there comes a point that I have to change it, probably well before I had intended to so I suppose I'm looking for some sort of compensation for that.. unless they are willing to replace and refit with something very similar and redecorate..which I highly doubt they will!0
