Share of Freehold question

  • As Richard says, you should not have a problem getting a mortgage.

If you don't have a clear idea who are the others with share of freehold and what is the arrangement with regards to management then you may be buying a lot of trouble.

If you have fallen in love with the place then take the time to do the research on those with whom you will be 'joined at the hip' if you are fellow shareholders in the freehold. If you have any doubts, find somewhere with a simpler ownership structure - ie a freehold house!
