they are a group selling stereo,tv, freesat etc. I called them to ask when their opening hours were and spoke about what I was interested in and said i would callin but gave no real def time. It was in the middle of town so had to take car as wasnt sure how heavy the item was. not only was it ready and waiting for me but they contrived a handle and also wrapped it up against the elements as it was raining, They also refunded my parking without me saying anything. Praise indeedy!

They frequently poll very highly in Which? customer satisfaction surveys.Optimists see a glass half full
Pessimists see a glass half empty
Engineers just see a glass twice the size it needed to be0 -
We use Richer Sounds for most of our electronic needs, and have done for the past 14 years. Our last purchase was our Sony Amp in January. They give a reduced price on extended warranties and if you don't use the 5 year warranty, they refund the whole price of the warranty. Can't say fairer than that! Cheap as chips too! The staff are helpful, the prices are incredible, the shops are a pleasant experience (I dare anyone to find a speck of dust in any of their shops.) We have some very expensive speakers and to buy them now would cost about £400 more than OH paid, and they're years old. They will be our first port of call if we ever decide to upgrade anything (although with a new TV, new amp and spanking speakers, I can't see that being for a long time yet!)Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)0

More praise here for Richer Sounds.
Went in last year, just browsing to pass the time, and saw a Sonos system, which they demonstrated well to me. I fell in love with it!
Over the next few months, I kept looking at them in different places, and online. Eventually, I decided it was a "must have", and went back to Richer Sounds, and commented that I had seen it elsewhere cheaper - they priced matched immediately. I was one happy customer! I will be using them again in the future.0 -
Yes, I rate them highly too.
I bought an amp from them a number of years ago, it went wrong, after about 18 months and I rang the store I bought it from to see if I could get a manufacturer's telephone number.
They took some details from me and said they'd give me a call back when they'd got the number to save me hanging on the phone.
15 minutes later, they called back, they'd arranged to collect my amp and deliver me a new one the next day. I was not expecting that but at 9:30 the next day a man arrived with a brand new amp, took my old one away.
A week later had a letter from their head office apologising and £20 in vouchers, which I was extremely suprised and grateful for.
I did write a thank you letter both to the store and head office.
Wouldn't go anywhere else for my entertainment needs now, the hours drive is worth it.0 -
Another +1 from another happy customer0

They treated DD (10 and a half at the time) as well as an adult when she wanted to buy herself a stereo - making sure she could listen to her sort of music on each system in her budget so she could pick the one that sounded best for her supersharp ears. We sat down and let her get on with it.
And she haggled £20 off the price, too.
Much better than Currys, where I am instantly rendered invisible to all staff, due to being a female over 30.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
I've never been into Richer Sounds but there is one in a town near me. Having read all these good reports, next time I need a stereo or TV I shall pop in there.
I hate Currys with a passion!Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free
Mortgage free since 20140 -
Saw a 37" Panasonic I liked and checked on their website to see if they did it and they did. Phoned nearest RS to me and they had one in stock which they offered to reserve for me. They also informed me I could trade in any TV and get £100 off the price. Knowing that their shop was in Glasgow City Centre I said that the TV the Panny was replacing was a CRT the size of Wendy House and that I'd struggle to get it to the shop. They told me to get my car as close as possible to the shop and they would collect it from the car. £100 off and got rid...RESULT!0

Richer Sounds are excellent.
Good prices on decent stuff, knowledgeable and helpful staff who don't push extended warranties on you, even though these warranties are the only ones I ever buy because they are worth it.0
